Why  Curtains!

Our “Fabrics set the tone for a room and curtains are often the backbone of a scheme bringing in colour, pattern, texture and mood.

A pair of drawn curtains for example can be a wall of colour in an otherwise plain scheme."

All of the fabrics in the collection can be made into curtains, romans, cushions, tie backs and valances for a perfectly co-ordinated look. Classic stripes, the English country garden, nature inspired patterns and the fresh colours of Scandinavian design are hot themes this season and our fabrics fit these trends perfectly.

Heading styles.

We offer three different curtain styles:

Eyelet Curtains:

Simple eyelet headings give a streamlined, unfussy modern effect. With their regular even pleats, this heading needs the least amount of space either side of the window to stack back. Available in a range of colours to match your pole and fabric,

Pinch pleats:

Pinch pleat headings give a more tailored finish where the curtain falls into elegant folds that can be easily dressed for a slightly more formal look, ideal for living rooms.

Pencil pleats:

Less structured than a pinch pleat, pencil pleats have an attractive, uniform gathered edge that works particularly well in more casual situations such as a home office or bedroom.

Fine lining.

All our curtains are fully-lined with a sateen twill fabric for a fuller, more luxurious appearance. This lining also helps to prevent colour fading, reduces light coming into the room and provides additional privacy. We also offer a thermal lining that cuts down the amount of heat that can be lost through the window, and a blackout lining which has two layers of sateen twill fabric bonded around a black membrane to block light.

Pole position

A fine selection of metal and wooden poles and finials are available in variety of colours and stains.

Keeping track

There are four options including 'Aluglide', a light yet strong aluminium track that can be shaped to fit bay windows. 'Ultraglide' is a corded steel track with a cord at the side, that makes opening and closing curtains a smooth operation.

Finding the perfect curtains is easy – with the help of expert advice. You’ll find answers to the most common questions below.

Bay window:

Bay windows provide a beautiful focal point in your home. If you are lucky enough to have this stunning feature in your room,  We offer a range of curved curtain poles and tracks which will accommodate the shape of the bay.

 Period Home with draughty windows?

All of our curtains are fully-lined as standard, to stop the fabric from fading and help it to hang beautifully. If your home can be a bit draughty, you may want to consider upgrading to a thermal lining. The material features a special coating which helps to prevent heat loss from your windows, resulting in a snug effect and in some cases, lower utility bills.

Light interrupting your sleep?

If you are looking for a window dressing for your bedroom, you might want to consider swapping the standard curtain lining for a blackout fabric. In this, three separate coatings are applied to the base cloth to reduce light and help ensure a good night’s sleep.

 Childrens Bedroom?

Whether your child is a tiny tot or a teenager, there are lively patterns to suit all age groups within the  Kids range. Our collection of fun fabrics features some familiar faces that your kids will love – including Spiderman and the Disney Princesses - as well as understated landmark, beach hut and bunting patterns.

 Create a layered effect?

Layering curtains and Roman blinds together at one window can provide a lovely snug impression. Many of our curtains are available with matching Roman blinds. This means you can choose two complementary fabrics for a coordinated look, or mix different colours and textures for an eclectic style.

Accessories to complement your curtains?

Our range of matching accessories can provide the perfect finishing touch to your room once you have chosen your favourite curtains fabric. We offer coordinating cushions, tie backs and valances to help you create a truly unique look, as well as decorative poles and finials.
